How do you price your countertops? Is granite expensive?
Square footage pricing does not make much sense. Bring in your sketch or give us a call (661)251-9999, we would love to offer you an ideal quote as solid as possible. Sometimes it will surprise you that with your original tile countertops budget you can go granite!
How long does it take to install?
As little as a day in most kitchens. Your new countertops are most fabricated in our shop, so that none of the time-consuming mess occurs in your home.
Will I have a seam?
Most kitchens do. This is because of many factors this includes but is not limited to the layout of your countertops, size of the slab, and access during install. To make it as invisible as possible, our expert installers color code it and get it as tight as possible then it is filled with a colored epoxy. A seam is on display in our showroom.
Do you do small cutting in your shop?
Yes. Ship your pieces to our shop, we do small fabrications.
What is the difference between an undermount sink and an overmount sink?
An overmount sink (also called drop-in sink) sits on top of the counter and the lip of the sink is exposed. The undermount sink is mounted from underneath the counter. There is no lip on top. For an undermount sink , it is easier to clean, but is not replaceable, so that a stronger 18-gauge stainless steel undermount sink is highly recommended.
How do I clean my granite countertops?
Clean granite with a soft white cloth and a neutral cleaner or household detergent such as Dove. Household cleaning products including Windex, Lysol Disinfectant and 409 can be used. A solution of vinegar and water (1:10 vinegar to water) works great to remove streaking, smudges, and body oil on granite. Use the flat side of a razor blade for removing stuck on tape residue, dried paint, glue, dried food, etc.
